       SBI Clerk Reasoning Syllabus 2013

State Bank of India recruits Clerks on the basis of performance of candidates in Written Test and Personal Interview. State Bank of India Clerks selection process is based on written test and Personal Interview.

Written test: It’s of 5 papers:

 

  1. General Awareness
    2. General English
    3. Quantitative Aptitude
    4. Reasoning Ability
    5. Marketing Aptitude/Computer Knowledge

Syllabus in reasoning ability:

 Number Series, Letter and Symbol Series, Verbal Classification, Analogies, Artificial Language, Matching Definitions, Making Judgments, Logical Problems, Analyzing Arguments, Statement and Assumption, Course of Action, Statement and Conclusion, Theme Detection, Cause and Effect, Statement and Argument, Arithmetical computation, analytical functions, symbols and their relationships, Both verbal and non-verbal, analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, etc.

Some of the example questions are:

  1. ‘Temporary’ is related to ‘Permanent’ in the same way as ‘Natural’ is related to?

  2. What is F’s position with respect to E?

  3. How many persons sit between A and C?

To gain better marks in Reasoning understand the question well, maintain a positive image about the answer, by practicing more question papers and improving thinking capability you can gain good score in Reasoning ability.
