SBI CLERK JOB DESCRIPTION
Actually in state bank of India (SBI), main responsibility of clerks are completing transactions, preparing vouchers, maintaining records and interacting with customers directly. Normally clerical cadre officials are in the cash counters.so their position is clerk cum cashiers. Many candidates would prefer to work in public banks for the less work and pressure less environment.
For SBI clerk examination, when coming to the age limit is, the minimum age is 18 years and it will be extended up to 28 years.The application form is available on the official website of www.sbi.co.in and www.statebankofindia.com. When coming to educational qualifications,a condidate(male/female) must have passed 12th class with minimum 60% marks(55% for sc/st/pwd) or must have done graduation with 40% marks(35% for SC/ST/PWD) or a diploma course passed after 10th standard that it must be from a recognized institute with a minimum of two years study. It should be a full time course with a minimum of 60% marks. Candidate have to pay an application fees of Rs 350 either by online mode or offline mode.
Only Indian citizens will apply for this exam. Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the written test and interview. Starting salary would be in the range of 13,500 rupees to 17,000 rupees depending upon place of posting,bank and qualification. According to the pattern,the written test consists of 5 papers of general Awareness, general English,quantitative aptitude,reasoning ability, marketing aptitude/computer knowledge. Each of the test sections consists 40 questions,in which each question carry 1 mark. So total marks are 200.This SBI clerk exam has to be answered in 2 hours 15 minutes.There is a individual cut off mark which to be decided by SBI based on relative performance of all candidates.
The test comprises of objective type questions,1/4th marks will be reduced for each wrong answer. Questions in all papers except English would be provided in English and Hindi Passing percent would be 5% relaxed for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM/OBC candidates.The score card would be mailed to the candidates at their respective addresses provided by them in application forms. Maximum of 3 candidates will be selected for each vacancy.
