SBI career Clerk 2013
To become a clerk in SBI candidate must satisfy 2 conditions mainly, they are Age limit and Education qualifications.
Age Limit: As per Government rules and regulations Candidate’s age should be between 18 to 30 years.
Educational Qualification: Intermediate/12th class with 60% of marks for General category students and 55% for other categories or any bachelor Degree from any recognized university with pass marks.
State Bank of India Clerks selection process is based on written test and Personal Interview. Generally the questions are based on the banking sector, computer knowledge and the personal information.
SBI Clerk career growth:
The probation period of a bank clerk is 6 months actually. Clerks are also get promotion into officer cadre after 3-4 years of job. In SBI, after 3-4 years of job, one can get opportunity to get promotion as a trainee officer. If you get the promotion, then you are equivalent to probationary officer and then you will get all opportunities of higher salary, faster promotions, lease house accommodation, foreign postings etc.
Starting salary of a bank clerk is not so good but if you get promotion as officer cadre, then you can get very good salary. If you want to success in bank job, important thing is attitude and right approach. If you have good performance, positive attitude, then your efforts will be recognized by the bank. Bright workers are always recognized in the banks so that they get faster promotions and better opportunities. Normally in SBI there are promotions in every 3-4 years and a SBI Probationary Officer can reach to a very high level (even Chairman of the bank) in course of his or her career.
