SAIL Recruitment 2013 notification & SAIL online application form has been released for filling up 937 ACT, OCT Trainee careers.SAIL Online application form 2013 available at www.sail.co.in from the 15th of February 2013. Candidates who are interested and satisfy eligibility criteria can apply online at its official website before last date. The last date for SAIL Online registration is 14-03-2013. Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a Written Test, information for which will be provided in the Admit Card. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test will be intimated to appear in Interview. Practical/ Driving Test will also be conducted for the trade of HVD.
Candidates will be required to meet following physical standard for being considered for the above posts: –
Candidates must ensure that they possess the above mentioned Physical Standard. They will have to produce a medical certificate issued by Registered Medical Practitioner / Government Doctor certifying the above Physical Standard at the time of interview. Also, if selected, they will have to undergo medical examination before joining.

For the post of ACT (Trainee), relaxation in age up to 40 years as on 01/01/2013 shall be admissible to ex-Trade Apprentices of Bhilai Steel Plant who have passed AITT (up to batch 75) up to the year 2001.
For the Post of ACT (Trainee)
ITI holders -Matriculation with ITI from recognized institution in any of the following trades:Fitter, Mason, Welder, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Computer Operator Programming Assistant, Turner, Diesel Mechanic, Draftsman.For HVD Trade- Matriculation with Heavy Vehicle Driver (HVD) License having one year experience in Operation of Tipper.
For the Post of OCT (Trainee)
Diploma holders- Matriculation with Diploma in Engineering from recognized institution in any of the following trades: – Metallurgy, Civil, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical/Mechtronics, Refractory/Ceramic, Electronic, Chemical and Instrumentation Candidates having the prescribed qualification as given above can apply against the respective posts and Trade / Discipline.
Training Period: The selected candidates will be placed on training for the initial period of two years
Salary/ Pay scale during Training Period
For the Post of ACT (Trainee) – During training period, a consolidated pay of ` 8,600/- p.m. during 1st year and `10,000/- p.m. during 2nd year will be paid. After successful completion of training period, candidates will be regularized in the regular grade/ pay scale of ` 8630-3%-12080/- (S-1).
For the Post of OCT (Trainee) – During training period, a consolidated pay of` 10,700/-p.m. during 1st year and ` 12,200/- p.m. during 2nd year will be paid. After successful completion of training period, candidates will be regularized in the regular grade/ pay scaleof ` 9160-3%-13150/- (S-3).
The Pay scales are under revision.
