Karnataka CET 2012 Details and Eligibility Criteria

Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2012 is conducted for +2 students of Karnataka for entrance or admission into the institutions or colleges of engineering in Karnataka.The students who are qualified in this entrance exam are eligible for admission into engineering courses/ Professional degree courses for colleges in Karnataka. The K-CET  entrance exam is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

 The eligibility is not only for Karnataka candidates but also for the ward of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants to the First year or First semester of full time courses in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga,Engineering, Technology courses, in Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided professional educational institutions in the state of Karnataka.

The  students with  English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology who have passed  12th or its equivalent and secured a percentage of minimum 50% aggregate in optional subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology are eligible for writing entrance test for medical courses.

The  students with  English, Physics, Mathematics and any of the Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology who have passed 12th or its equivalent and secured a percentage of minimum 48% aggregate in optional subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics are eligible for writing entrance test for engineering  courses.

The  students with  Mathematics who have passed  12th or its equivalent and secured a percentage of minimum 50% aggregate in all subjects are eligible for writing entrance test for  architecture courses.
