Entrance Exam For M.Tech
M.TECH is a professional degree. M.TECH stands for master of technology. The advantage of doing M.Tech is to add a value to the education and will definitely have benefit in the long run. After completing the bachelor degree there are many entrance examinations to join the master degree.
The well known entrance exam for M.Tech is GATE i.e., Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. It is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprenhsive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and technology. Bachelor degree holders of engineering/technology/architecture and who are in the final year of such programmes are eligible. The examination is held both on online mode and offline mode.
There are many different entrance exams are conducted for the admission in M.Tech by various universities they are:
- PGECET by the Jawaharlal university
- Post Graduate Common Entrance Test(PGCET) by visvesvaraya technological university
- SRMEEE by SRM university
- BITSAT entrance exam by Birla institute of science & technology
Foreign nationals and non-resident Indians are also welcome to apply for the M.Tech programme with valid GRE and TOEFL scores. Only those students whose undergraduate education was in an Anglophone country (i.e., Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, UK and the US) are exempt from TOEFL.
