Entrance Exam For Actuarial Science
The candidates who wants to join in actuarial course are required to qualify the ACET examination.ACET stands for Actuarial Common Entrance Test. This exam will be conducted twice in a year in the months of december and june.
Eligibility criteria :
Candidates who want to write this exam,must have passed 10+2 examination with english as one of the subjects.
Registration fee :
To write the entrance exam,candidates must pay the registration fee of Rs 3000 only.It includes the cost of the study material,the online exam and online tutorial.This registration fee is not refundable,but it can be carried forward for the next ACET examination.
Mode of exam :
It is a online examination.This exam will be conducted in forty one cities within india at fifty one centers.Candidates will register for the exam by online payment only.
Structure of exam :
All questions given in this exam are of objective type with one correct answer for each question.This exam is a computer based test. Candidates will complete this exam in two hours and candidates would be answer 55 questions of 100 marks.The questions format is given below.
- 1 mark questions – 25
- 2 mark questions – 25
- 5 mark questions – 5

Results of this exam :
The results will be declared within 10 days from the date of the exam on its official website of http://www.actuariesindia.org/acet.html
Exam test centers :
Negative marking :
There is negative marking for wrong answer.For each incorrect answer of 1 mark question,0.5 mark will be deducted.So for 2.5 marks will be deducted for 5 marks question.
Candidates have the right to use the calculators in the examination.They can use the calculators from the model of Casio FX82 or Casio FX83 or Casio FX85 or Sharp EL531 or Texas Instruments BA II Plus or Texas Instruments TI-30 or Hewlett Packard HP12c.
