The State Bank of India is recruiting candidates for clerk posts for the year 2011-12. There are 2500 vacancies for both SC/ST/OBC Categories and for regular recruitment for posting at north eastern. The central recruitment and promotions department of SBI is inviting applicants who are eligible to apply for the post.
In 2500 posts 600 posts are for regular recruitment for north eastern and the remaining posts are for SC/ST/OBC Categories. While applying on-line for the post, the applicant should ensure that he / she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentioned above as on the specified dates and thatthe particulars furnished by him / her are correct in all respects.
IN CASE IT IS DETECTED AT ANY STAGE OF RECRUITMENT THAT A CANDIDATE DOES NOT FULFIL THE ELIGIBILITY NORMS AND / OR THAT HE / SHE HAS FURNISHED ANY INCORRECT / FALSE INFORMATION OR HAS SUPPRESSED ANY MATERIAL FACT(S), HIS / HER CANDIDATURE WILL STAND CANCELLED. IF ANY OF THESE SHORTCOMINGS IS / ARE DETECTED EVEN AFTER APPOINTMENT, HIS / HER SERVICES ARE LIABLE TO BE TERMINATED.
Applicants are advised to register online themselves. The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of written test and interviews. The Bank reserves the right to hold skill test / any other test wherever deemed necessary as well as the right to add, delete or allot any centre at its discretion.
Admission to written test examination will be purely provisional without verification of age / qualification / category (SC/ST/PWD/XS) etc. of the candidates with references to documents. No candidate is permitted to use or have possession of Calculators, Mobile Phones, Pagers or any other instrument in the Examination Hall.
The candidate will have option to answer written test questions in Hindi or English except in General English paper . The candidates will have to appear for the tests/ interviews, at their own cost. SC/ST/ PWD candidates called for INTERVIEW are entitled to IInd class to & fro railway fare/ bus fare by shortest route on production of evidence of travel (Rail / bus ticket/receipt etc).
Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their being found medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank. Such appointment will also be subject to the service and conduct rules of the Bank. The new recruits must have flair for marketing and will be required to make customer calls and provide banking services, advisory services and cross sell products etc. inside and outside Bank premises.
