EAMCET + Inter Weightage Calculation Procedure ( Weightage for Inter / EAMCET Marks)
According to the system devised for the weight age issue, marks secured in three subjects in EAMCET will be calculated for 75 per cent and they will be added to the 25 per cent equivalent of the marks scored in the core subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry in case of MPC students and Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany in case of BiPC students.
From EAMCET 2009 onwards there is a 25% weight age for intermediate marks in group subjects and 75% weight age for EAMCET Marks will be used for calculation of EAMCET Ranks. Only Group subject Marks will be considered in Inter weight age. After aggregating the both Inter+ Eamcet weightage Marks final EAMCET Ranks will be Calculated.
See these Example to get the clear idea about EAMCET Rank Calculation:
For Intermediate Weight age:
If a candidate got ‘a’ marks out of total marks ‘ p ‘ , his / her weightage will be calculated as below
(a / p) * 25
For EAMCET Weightage:
Total marks of a candidate in EAMCET will be aggregated to 100 and 75 % weightage will be calculated from that marks. For example, if a candidate score ‘b’ marks out of ‘q’ in EAMCET, weightage will be calculated as below
(b / q) * 75
Now both weight ages will be added and final rank will be announced accordingly. This will be done as below
Intermediate weightage = x
EAMCET weightage = y
Final Score = x + y
Based on this Score, ranks will be calculated.
