AP DSC  TEST 2013 PET Syllabus

AP DSC TEST 2013 is recruiting PET Physical Education  teachers. The candidates who are aspiring for the post of Physical Education Trainer (PET) should clear entrance exam.  The candidate should clear the entrance exam with following syllabus  to compete for the post.There are eight parts in the pet entrance exam.

The eight parts in physics exam for school assistant post DSC 2012 AP are

  1. General Knowledge and Current  Affairs
  2. English
  3. Principles, Philosophy and History of Physical Education
  4. Organization and Administration of Physical Education
  5. Psychology, Materials and Methods of Physical Education
  6. Anatomy and Physiology and Kinesiology
  7. Health Education, Safety Education and Physiology of Exercise
  8. Officiating and Coaching of Physical Education.

Exam is conducted for 100 marks.Marks allotted for each part are given below

  1. 10 marks for General Knowledge and Current  Affairs
  2. 10 marks English
  3. 15 marks for Principles, Philosophy and History of Physical Education
  4. 12 marks for Organization and Administration of Physical Education
  5. 12 marks for Psychology, Materials and Methods of Physical Education
  6.  12 marks for Anatomy and Physiology and Kinesiology
  7. 15 marks for Health Education, Safety Education and Physiology of Exercise
  8. 14 marks for Officiating and Coaching of Physical Education.

  • Syllabus for part II (English): Parts of speech , Tenses, Types of sentences , Articles and prepositions ,  Degrees of Comparison, Direct speech and indirect speech,  Clauses,  Voice – Active and passive voice,  Use of phrases, Comprehension of a prose passage, Composition, Vocabulary
  • Syllabus for part III (Principles, Philosophy and History of Physical Education) : Meaning of the terms – Aims and Objectives – Aim and objectives of Physical Education, Meaning and Definition of Physical Education,  Biological Principles, ) Sociological Principles, History.
  • Syllabus for part IV ( Organization and Administration of Physical Education) :  Meaning of the terms organization, Administration and supervision, Guiding Principles of Organization, Physical Education Department set up in School, District and State, Play fields, Time-Table; Factors influencing time-table, Budget and Accounting, Records and Registers, Supervision
  •  Syllabus for part V(Psychology, Materials and Methods of Physical Education) : Psychology, Play – Theories of Play, Methods and Materials in Physical Education
  •  Syllabus for part VI(Anatomy and Physiology and Kinesiology) : Structure and Functions of cell, Skeletal system, Muscular system, Respiratory system, Digestive system, Circulatory system, Excretory system, Nervous system, Kinesiology
  • Syllabus for part VII(Health Education, Safety Education and Physiology of Exercise) : Yoga, Physiology of Exercise, Definition of Health, Hygiene and Sanitation
  • Syllabus for part IV (Officiating and Coaching of Physical Education) : Meaning and Principles of officiating,  Duties of Referee / Umpires / Scorer’s in various Games, Athletics – Runs, Throws and Jumps,Marking, Rules, Signals and Systems of Officiating in the following Games
