The University of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada (JNTU-K) is planning in filling 147 vacancies in different sections . Notification will be issued latter this month. “Expert Committee from IIT and NIT will be formed, to scrutinise the selection process, and it would be completed within three months,” said the JNTU-K vice-chancellor, Mr G. Tulasi Ram Das.
He also said that the selections are to be held as per the UGC norms. He told that to prevent copying of research thesis they would procure anti-plagiarism software would. It could be set up by February for research scholars for tracing duplicate findings of their research work. If it is found that the plagiarism is more than 30 per cent, he might ask the students to resubmit the thesis.
As a part of moulding the university as a world class university in quality of education as well as research work, the principals and faculty of all engineering colleges numbering 10,000, would be given academic administration training by Wipro company, and the private engineering colleges need not pay any amount for the training.
Mr Das said that JNTU-K syllabus would be changed once in three years and a new syllabus would be brought in the year 2013. He said that PhD admissions would be held in the year 2012 by implementing JNTU-K and UGC norms. He said that research review would be held twice a year for getting quality research work.
He said that for providing employment opportunities to the students , a entrepreneur development cell would be set up in the university,. The JNTU-K vice-chancellor said that they would create different facilities like canteen and clinic by setting student activity centre.
